Sally Binard is a primarily self taught artist living in the Florida Keys, 25 miles north of the Southernmost Point of America. Determined to make her way as far south as possible and inspired by way too much Jimmy Buffet music in college, she eventually got a job as a biologist for the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Her job description, to put it bluntly, was to dive underwater and literally count fish. After 2 years of working underwater, she ventured above water and further south to tend bar down on the infamous Duval Street - a stint that lasted a little longer than it should have. After years of serving drunks, vagabonds, and half-clothed spring breakers she decided she had enough observational data to complete a degree in Abnormal Psychology and began working on her Masters in Psychology. Throughout all these years living in the Keys, she has always kept her fingers in paint, pens, or clay continually striving to one day be able to create art for a living.If you are interested in purchasing any of my artwork, feel free to contact me at sally@sallyart.com.
